Armenian ambassador to Israel changes address from Yerevan to Tel Aviv

Armenian president Armen Sarkissian signed a decree on moving of the Armenian ambassador`s residence in Israel from Yerevan to Tel Aviv. The decree`s text of February 25 is published on the Armenian president`s website.

“To amend the presidential decree of March 31, 2018 on the appointment of Armen Smbatian as ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Israel, replacing the words ‘residence-in Yerevan’ with ‘residence-in Tel Aviv’,” the document says.

The decision to move the embassy to Tel Aviv was made in September 2019. The Republic of Armenia established diplomatic relations with Israel in April 1992.
