One person killed and two wounded by Ukrainian army shelling in Lugansk People’s Republic

One person was killed and two suffered wounds of various severity by Ukrainian army’s shelling of the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) last week, the press service of the LPR People’s Militia Directorate reported on January 30.

According to an official of the LPR People’s Militia Ivan Filiponenko, civilians from the villages of Golubovskoye and Frunze were wounded by an 86 mm mortar shelling from the Ukrainian army’s side. They did not timely hide from the mortar shell explosions near their houses, and they suffered wounds of various severity. Both were hospitalized in the Lugansk hospital, one of them in grave condition.

Reportedly, the shelling was made from the outskirts of the settlement of Novotoshkovskoye by the servicemen of the 93rd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army.
