Turkey ready to buy Russian Su-35 fighters – Daily Sabah

Moscow and Ankara are negotiating the sale of Russian Su-35 fighters and possible manufacturing of their components in Turkey, Daily Sabah reported on October 25.

According to the newspaper, the Turkish authorities plan to buy 36 Su-35 fighters from Russia, and they are also discussing joint manufacturing of certain components of the Russian jet.

The USA excluded Turkey from its F-35 fighter program after Turkey purchased Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.

In late August 2019, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan together with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin visited the MAKS Aerospace Show near Moscow.
