Kurginyan: Trump and Clinton will settle their scores on Ukraine’s ruins

02.10.2019, Moscow.

The divided Ukraine cannot become a part of the “new world order” as a strong nation state. The world has changed, and Trump has a score to settle with Ukraine, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan stated on September 30 on the air of the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.

Kurginyan believes that Ukraine cannot become a part of new world order while the world is now in a state of “new world disorder” that considers strong national states its main enemy. High-ranking United States politicians have already said this.

For example, the 66th United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice stated that the US has changed its priorities, calling its previous allies its enemies and so on. And the US then started to bomb and to dispose of their previous allies, like Gaddafi, Mubarak, and al-Assad. The West does not need nation states moving down the path of modernization; it needs a caliphate.

“And if you want to fit in the new world disorder as a strong state, then a second question arises: what kind of state? A nation state?

A strong Ukrainian state cannot be created because the Ukrainian nation does not exist. There is no such nation by definition! A civilizational rift passes down its middle. You can only somehow weld this civilizational rift. I mean “to weld” in a sense of “to join” not to alcoholize it with gorilka [a play on words based on the similar pronunciation of words “to weld” and “alcoholize”; gorilka is a Ukrainian word for vodka – translator’s note]. You have to keep bringing it together, all the while showing affection to eastern of Ukraine, ‘East, we love you. The East, we are with you

You have started to talk to the East in a disgusting, treacherous, and bloody language. And it heard this speech. What kind of strong nation state were you talking about? Were you referring to a state of genocide, in which you would massacre them all? What if all of you will be massacred? Would you like that?” Kurginyan asked the Ukrainian experts, which were present on the program.

The political scientist then stressed that it was possible to talk about a strong Ukrainian state when the independent Ukraine was being created. Such thing is no longer possible; the door has closed.

“Now about the USA. Trump sincerely believes that the Clintons was infringing upon him through Ukraine. This is Trump, not your pushovers… He is a strong man, and he is convinced of it. So he will bring it to light. And he will bring it to light on the ruins of the Ukrainian state, Kurginyan concluded.

On September 25, 2018, the mass media published a transcript of a conversation between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky. In this conversation, the Ukrainian president promised to help Trump against presidential candidate Joe Biden by providing information directed against Biden’s son Hunter, who was a member of the Burisma Group gas company’s board of directors in Ukraine.

This conversation caused a scandal that resulted in the initiation of proceedings for Trump’s impeachment. On September 28, The New York Times published a big article investigating Trump’s secret politics in Ukraine.
