Russian UN mission officer evacuated from Kosovo

UN mission officer Mikhail Krasnoshchekov was taken from Kosovo to a Belgrade hospital, Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Chepurin said on Twitter on May 30.

 “Mikhail Krasnoshchekov crossed the administrative line between Kosovo and central Serbia,” the Russian ambassador said.

In Belgrade, the wounded officer of the UN mission will be placed at the city hospital, where he will receive the necessary medical care, Alexander Chepurin added.

Krasnoshchekov was detained on May 28 by the Kosovo police during a large-scale operation aimed at the residents of municipalities with a predominantly Serbian population.
