Doctors Without Borders forced to leave the Syrian city of Al-Hasakah

18.08.2018, Al-Hasakah.

Doctors Without Borders staff left the national hospital in the Syrian city of Al-Hasakah, a Rossa Primavera News Agency source in Syria reports on August 17.

Threats from unknown persons against one of the staff members provoked Doctors Without Borders’ departure.

The Syrian province of Al-Hasakah is now under the control of the Kurds from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which the US supports. In addition to the Kurds, there are Arab tribes living on this territory. They are not happy with the SDF’s plans for the federalization of Syria or the region’s secession from the country. In addition, there are ISIL (organization banned in Russia) terrorist sleeper cells, which can organize attacks on Al-Hasakah’s territory.
