The Syrian army storms the village of Mashara, located to the east of Quneitra province (in the south of Syria), from different directions, battles with armed groups are underway, Rossa Primavera News Agency’s Syrian source informs on July 15.

The “clear and hold” military operation in the provinces of Deraa and Quneitra is now in its final stage. The Syrian army took the border with Jordan under its control and almost completely liberated the province of Deraa and the province’s administrative center of the same name, which was in the terrorists’ hands for more than seven years.

The city of Deraa was cleared from militants quickly, thanks to successful negotiations with the leaders of various armed groups that distanced themselves from the Jabhat al-Nusra (organization banned in Russia) and ISIL (organization banned in Russia). The former groups ceased armed resistance and handed over weapons and ammunition to the government forces.
