The members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission for Ukraine had to leave the Golubovskoye settlement because of shelling by the Ukrainian army, the representatives of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) to the JCCC said, RIA Novosti reports.
“On June 8, an OSCE SMM patrol deployed to the Golubovskoye settlement to investigate this shelling. OSCE SMM informed the Ukrainian side at the JCCC about this. At 9 am of June 8, in order to prevent the operation of the OSCE SMM, the Ukrainian army shelled this area from the Novotoshkovskoye direction using 82 mm mortars and a BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, damaging the building of a kindergarten in the Donetsky village. Because of the threat, the OSCE SMM officials left the region of Golubovskoye,” the LPR representatives at the JCCC reported in their Telegram channel.
The Lugansk representatives also demanded that OSCE “must give an appropriate judgment to the gross violations of the Minsk agreements committed by the Ukrainian side.”
Previously, mortar shelling of the Golubovskoye village was reported, which injured 6 civilians and damaged a bus. The OSCE officials planned to arrive at the scene to record the fact of a settlement shelling.
