China tests flying taxi drone

The first unmanned flying taxi drone was tested in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, Xinhua Agency reported on February 5th.

Guangzhou announced flight tests of the first passenger taxi drone in the world, which will be able to fly one passenger at a speed of up to 130 km per hour.  Xinhua Agency also reported that during these tests one of the flying taxis managed to transfer two passengers with the total weight of 210 kg.

In September 2017, media wrote about Dubai’s plans to launch a flying taxi drone, and on February 2nd, 2018, Airbus announced its unmanned “flying vehicle” tests.
