The Ukrainian army shelled the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic using multiple launch rocket systems, the representative of the Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) for the ceasefire regime Ruslan Yakubov told journalists on November 16, RIA Novosti reports.
“Today at 11:30 am, officials of the JCCC’s Yasinovataya Observation Group reported that the Ukrainian military used weapons banned under the Minsk agreements. The enemy opened fire using Grad MLRSs from the area of the Avdeevka Coking Plant in the north-east direction. In total, over 80 rockets were fired,” the DPR official said.
Previously, the Ukrainian military were reported to shell Donetsk outskirts using large-caliber machine guns.
Ukraine violated the ceasefire 30 times in the past 24 hours shelling 16 towns and villages of the Republic; among other things, heavy artillery and mortars were used.
