US congressmen are confused: US visa to Browder revoked

24.10.2017, USA.

A number of US congressmen ask Donald Trump’s administration to explain why the US visa of the British hedge fund manager William Browder was revoked, TASS reported on October 23.

In addition, Republican Senator John McCain and Democratic Senator Ben Cardin recommend that the United States Department of Homeland Security cancel this decision, arguing that Browder, in their view, is a “strong advocate for anti-corruption efforts.

Recently, Browder wrote on his Twitter account that his visa was revoked on the same day when Russia placed his name on Interpol’s international watch list. The Russian court has sentenced him in absentia for major financial frauds with at least  3.5-billion-rubles damage caused.

Editorial Comment

The reaction of the congressmen clearly shows that Browder is “untouchable”, despite a number of irrefutable evidence of his fraud and tax evasion. Senators as if say to the US Presidential administration, “He is definitely a son of a bitch, but he is our son of a bitch .” Law and order stay silent in such a situation. However, visa restriction shows that there is also a strong elite group in the West capable of attacking a group that supports Browder.
