Kurginyan: Establishing a cold standoff with the West is salvation for Russia

According to Kurginyan, a particularly dangerous aspect of the situation is that the so called “there-ocracy” (the pro-Western part of the Russian bureaucracy – Editor), “whose vital interests are not ‘here’ [in Russia – Editor], but ‘there’, in the West”, will continue to play by its own rules. At this point Sergey Kurginyan referred to the peculiarities of implementation of policies creating a forced foster care system in Russia. Addressing the delegates of the First Congress of the “All-Russian Parents’ Resistance” in February of 2013, President Vladimir Putin assured the assembly that there will be none of this in Russia; but by the end 2016, elements of a forced foster care system were implemented in practice, and it took the direct involvement of the President to put it to halt. Thus, the pro-Western part of the Russian bureaucracy had been implementing a forced foster care system for two years in direct violation of the President’s order. With this situation at hand, how will the pro-Western bureaucracy act, when pressure on Russia from the West increases to an unprecedented scale? “Will it become a force opposed to the state, turning into a ‘Trojan Horse’?” asked Sergey Kurginyan.
Three scenarios for the future are possible according to “Essence of Time” leader, and two of them are completely unacceptable: a “hot” war between Russia and the US, two nuclear powers, or Russia’s capitulation. The third scenario is to “rapidly and correctly” establish a new type of relationship, when Russia declares firmly that it is not a part of the Western world with its “forced foster care systems and dehumanizing gender quirks”. Such a declaration will give rise to an acute ideological confrontation, which could be called “Cold War 2.0”, but a “cold” war is meant to prevent a “hot” one. Russia’s return to itself will attract many actors on the international arena to its side, including those parts of the West that are dissatisfied with what the West has become in past few decades. According to Sergey Kurginyan, it must be understood that, on the verge of the catastrophe, this standoff between worlds based on different values, which is what a “Cold War” really is a chance for salvation.
