The situation at the front line was extremely tense. The combat in Avdeevka did not cease for a single moment. The Ukrainian army amassed the forces to launch an offensive.
In the north of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Ukrainian military shelled Gorlovka, the villages of Dolomitnoye, Zaytsevo, Shirokaya Balka, Krasny Partizan, Ozeryanovka, Mikhailovka. The Ukrainian army used heavy artillery, tanks, mortars, grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), and small arms.
On the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian army shelled Yasinovataya, the villages of Krutaya Balka, Vasilevka, Yakovlevka, Spartak, Zhabichevo, the area of former Donetsk airport, Makeevka, the villages of Staromikhailovka, Signalnoye, Trudovskiye, Aleksandrovka using heavy artillery, tanks, mortars, grenade launchers, IFV, and small arms. A railway station in Yasionovataya was shelled. Two miners were injured in Makeevka as a result of the shelling of “Shcheglovskaya-Glubokaya” coal mine by the Ukrainian war criminals.
Elenovka and Dokuchaevsk were shelled by heavy artillery and mortars.
On the Mariupol direction, Ukrainian military shelled the villages of Novolaspa, Petrovskoye, Belaya Kamenka, Kominternovo, Dzerzhinskoye, Leninskoye, Sakhanka using heavy artillery, mortars, grenade launchers, IFV, and small arms.
One serviceman of DPR People’s Militia (DPR PM) was killed, and another one is injured as a result of the shelling by the Ukrainian army.
Two civilians were injured in the shelling of Kievsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian artillery.
38 houses in villages and towns of DPR were damaged by the Ukrainian army’s shelling.
DPR PM recon spotted a redeployment of a battalion task force of the 25th Independent Air Assault Brigade and “Ukrainian Volunteer Army”, Azov, Dnepr nationalist battalions to Avdeevka in order to reinforce the 72nd Mechanized Brigade. DPR PM recon registered a total of up to 10 infantry companies, 2 tank companies, 2 battery of mortars, and up to 20 IFV at the Avdeevka part of the front.
During the night, February 3rd, Donetsk was violently shelled by Ukrainian military. Tochka-U missiles, large-caliber artillery and “Uragan” multiple rocket launchers were fired. Several 152mm shells and “Uragan” rockets exploded on “Motel” bus station, one of them hit a gas-filling station. At least ten civilians were injured, one was killed. Nearby buildings were damaged. Medics and DPR Emergency Ministry are working on the site. At 11.45 PM, 3 Ukrainian fighter jets were spotted while flying in the direction of Donetsk.
According to updated information, on February 1st, the Ukrainian military criminals violated the ceasefire 1,617 times. The enemy, violating the Minsk Agreement, fired 40 MLRS “Grad” rockets, 374 152mm and 122mm artillery shells, 429 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds. IFV, grenade launchers, and small arms were used.
