The Ukrainian side claimed that it captured Novoluganskoye village, which officially was in the “grey zone”, but was in fact controlled by Kiev’s military. This way the commanders of Armed Forces of Ukraine try to lift the morale of their soldiers after a completely failed assault near Debaltsevo, which ended in large casualties.
Starting from today, ceasefire is implemented along all of the contact line. However, according to DPR People’s Militia information, starting from midnight Ukrainian side fired on the frontline districts of DPR over 140 times. Gorlovka, Donetsk, Yasinovataya outskirts and villages in the south of the Republic came under artillery fire.
As a result of the shelling six buildings were damaged in Yasinovataya and Kominternovo, including Yasinovataya railroad station.
