The Ukrainian side continues to provoke the forces of DPR People’s Militia, shelling the frontline areas of the Republic.
The enemy is shelling the northern and western districts of Gorlovka from the direction of Svetlodarsk, Artyomovsk and Dzerzhinsk. Mortars, automatic grenade launchers, IFV weapons and small arms are being fired. There is destruction of residential buildings in Zaytsevo village. Ukrainian army is using recon UAVs.
The situation on the Donetsk direction is tense as well. Yasinovataya, area of Avdeevka industrial zone, Trudovskie, Aleksandrovka, Zhabichevo and Spartak villages on the northern and western outskirts of Donetsk are being shelled.
Yesterday in the morning a terrorist attack took place in Makeevka – a military fuel tanker truck blew up on a bomb planted by a Ukrainian sabotage-recon group. As a result of the very powerful explosion, a school, lyceum, medical institution and three kindergartens were damaged in Krasnogvardeyski district of Makeevka. “Scheglovskaya-Glubokaya” mine lost access to power supply. One serviceman of the Republic died, one was hospitalized with injuries. The number of casualties could have been higher, since the civilian population uses this road as well and Ukrainian saboteurs knew it.
DPR recon reports discovering enemy’s “Grad” multiple-launch rocket system squadron in the area of occupied Kurakhovo village. Positions of 122mm D-30 howitzers and 120mm mortars were spotted north of Donetsk.
According to updated information, on October 4 Ukrainian army shelled DPR territory 247 times. The intensity of shelling approximately doubled in comparison with several previous days. 152mm artillery was fired as well. The situation continues to escalate.
