The situation on the frontline remains extremely tense. Increase in Ukrainian army’s activity is being observed, which might be linked to the first primary election in the history of Donetsk People’s Republic.
In the second half of the day the enemy started shelling the positions of DPR People’s Militia on the Gorlovka direction. Golmovsky, Zaytsevo, Shyrokaya Balka villages and western outskirts of Gorlovka came under Ukrainian army fire. Grenade launchers, high-caliber machine guns and small arms were fired.
The situation has been uneasy on Yasinovataya direction. By the evening a mortar and grenade launcher shelling in the area of Avdeevka industrial zone has been started, IFV weapons and small arms were fired as well. Intensive combat went on for two hours. The work of Ukrainian recon UAVs was registered in the area.
DPR recon reports deployment of six tanks and eight IFVs of the Ukrainian army to area of Verkhnetoretskoye village on Gorlovka direction. Four tanks, fifteen IFVs and approximately 70 personnel — presumably, mercenaries — were discovered near Stary Krym village on the Mariupol direction.
Tomorrow is the last day meant for the separation of sides in the area of Petrovskoye village. DPR Armed Forces Command confirmed readiness to move its units back, but no confirmation was received from the Ukrainian side yet.
According to updated information, on October 1 Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire almost 270 times. Approximately 100 times the enemy used various artillery systems to shell DPR territory.
