Ukraine won’t buy Russian gas for $212 – PM

11.01.2016, Kiev.

Ukraine, according to the Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk, won’t buy Russian gas for the price of $212 for a thousand cubic meters, since it can buy gas cheaper in Europe. He didn’t find necessary to explain in what case can that be possible, considering the fact that Europe buys most of its gas from Russia.

We have stopped buying the gas sold by Russian Federation. On January 1 they have billed us with $212 per thousand cubic meters. We don’t buy gas from Russia, because we buy cheaper gas than Russia offered us from the European Union. The average price of buying gas in the EU is approximately $200,” Yatsenyuk said on Sunday.
