In the period of 2014-2015, as a result of combat operations in Donbass, 26 children from LPR have died, according to the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of LPR Yulia Nazarenko. The youngest of them was only 27 days old.
“One girl also died of injuries – a resident of the village Sanzharovka in the Artemovsk district of DPR,” Yulia Nazarenko added.
“47 children in the Lugansk region received injuries which varied in degree of severity during the military operations,” she said and added that some of these children were injured as a result of detonation of tripwires and mines “left behind by the war.”
