Kurginyan: Reconciliation with the West is impossible and immoral

Reconciliation with the West is pragmatically impossible and morally unacceptable, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on September 20 in a new issue of his program Destiny published on the movement’s YouTube channel.

Kurginyan recalled Lenin’s article The Impending Catastrophe and How to Combat It, in which Lenin demonstrated that he was a great patriot of Russia. Lenin listed the necessary and obvious measures for the Interim Government to save the country. However, the system refused to abandon unrestrained thievery even to survive.

“The point is that the system refuses to abandon unrestrained thievery, which has deadly consequences, even to survive. It lacks even the instinct of survival,” the political scientist explained Lenin’s text about the events of 1917. He added that if the system’s survival instinct reactivates, the country will survive, but everyone may be doomed if the deadly inertia maintains.

“Malfunctions can only be avoided if a new system is built and the existing system is carefully protected at the same time,” Kurginyan stressed. He explained that it would be morally unacceptable for the Russian system to return to its previous, pro-Western orientation.

“I insist on one thing: that this is impossible from the merely pragmatical point of view. This impossibility will be increasingly obvious, at first, every day and then every hour as the ongoing conflict evolves,” the crisis analyst said.

According to the political scientist, if the Russian system is not changed to escape its pro-Western orientation, further excesses like the one near Kharkov can result in a major catastrophe.
