The US has repeatedly offered its assistance to various countries, recalled Pushkov citing as an example twenty years of US involvement in Afghanistan, assistance to Ukraine and the Maidan revolution, as well as their support to extremists in Syria.

In addition, the US had offered to provide assistance to Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, during the events of 2020, reminded the politician.

Earlier, State Department spokesman Ned Price stated that the US is ready to provide help to Kazakhstan in resolving the crisis.

On January 7, Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, declared his readiness to help Kazakhstan on behalf of the EU.

On January 5, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, reached out to the heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member-states to assist Kazakhstan when mass clashes between militants and law enforcement officers broke out in the country.

The peacekeepers have already arrived in Kazakhstan and have begun implementing their actions. According to the authorities, on January 7, constitutional order was generally restored in all regions of the republic. The most difficult situation remains in Almaty.
