The Ukrainian army’s units violated the ceasefire on the contact line in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) 15 times over the day, a DPR representative at the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) said on November 6.

The spokesman said that the Ukrainian troops opened fire on Dolomitnoye, Yasinovataya, Kashtanovoye, Mineralnoye, Spartak, Novoselovka, Leninskoye, Dzerzhinskoye, and Kominternovo villages.

The observers registered that the Ukrainian army used the weapons of infantry fighting vehicles, 82mm mortars, various grenade launchers, and small arms. A total of 182 different rounds of ammunition was fired on the territory of the republic.

The representative stressed that on November 5, observers registered that the fire was opened from the positions of the 36th Navy Brigade, located in Vodyanoye, Talakovka, Leninskoye, Kominternovo, and Dzerzhinskoye villages. The military fired 26 82mm mortar shells, one RPG-7 grenade, 10 GP-25 grenades from under-barrel grenade launcher and used small arms.

The observers noted that on Donetsk direction, the military of the 54th Ukrainian army’s Brigade fired on Yasinovataya, Spartak, Kashtanovoye and Mineralnoye villages from their positions near Avdeevka. The military of the 53rd Ukrainian army’s Brigade fired on the Novoselovka villages from its position near the village of Novogrigorovka. The Ukrainian troops fired 110 rounds from the weapons of infantry fighting vehicle, 9 82mm mortar shells, 21 SPG-9 21 grenades, 5 RPG-7 grenades and used small arms.

The spokesman said that on Gorlovka direction the Ukrainian military of the 24th Ukrainian army’s Brigade fired two GP-25 grenades on Dolomitnoye village from their positions near Novoluganskoye.

The representative pointed out that there were no casualties among the republic’s residents or Donetsk People’s Militia servicemen. The villages infrastructure and residential buildings were not damaged.

On November 5, the Ukrainian military opened fire on a bus with unarmed workers of the Donetsk water filtration plant, who were returning home after their shift. Members of the 54th Ukrainian army’s Brigade fired three bursts of small arms fire on the bus on the N-20 regional road.

On November 4, the JCCCC observers registered four ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian army. The military fired on Dolomitnoye and Vedenskoye villages.

The Ukrainian experts associated the previous lull on the Donbass front with local elections in Ukraine and the US presidential elections. Because of uncertain elections results, official Kiev could not build its own line of actions in Donbass.
