Russia registers nine violations of ceasefire in Syria over a day

The Russian side in the joint Russian-Turkish commission for ceasefire monitoring in Syria registered nine violations of ceasefire over a day, according to an information bulletin published on the Russian Defense Ministry’s website on August 5.

It is reported that nine violations of ceasefire were registered in Aleppo (4 violations) and Idlib (5 violations) provinces.

The Turkish side has not registered a single violation of the ceasefire over the past 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours, the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides in the Syrian Arab Republic carried out eight humanitarian actions and delivered 250 food packages to the villages of Dzhdaydet Artuz in Damascus province, Huar in Aleppo province and Ard-al-Jaburin in Homs province; 440 food packages were delivered to Haram in Latakia province, Rubi in Aleppo province, Al-Wasta in Raqqa province, Dabbana in Haseke and Hsham in Deir-ez-Zor province.

Since March 6 2020, ceasefire was established in the Idlib de-escalation zone. The guarantors of the agreement are Russia and Turkey.
