The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a counter terrorist operation in southern Syria on the night of May 8, a Rossa Primavera News Agency Source in the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) informs.
“The SAA is fighting against armed terrorist groups in the village of al-Musairib in Deraa,” the agency interlocutor said.
Militants captured nine Syrian police officers in the village of al-Musairib on May 4. They were later found dead with gunshot wounds to the head.
According to expert Yuri Byalyy, Turkey may organize terrorist attacks in the outskirts of Syria to divert the Syrian army forces. “And then, it undertook a powerful attack against government troops in Idlib and further in the south,” said the Middle East expert.
