In the next ten years Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany, may be rehabilitated, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on January 23 on the air of the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.
The political scientist reminded that while Nazism had been defeated in 1945 many of them (Nazis and their collaborates from different European countries ― Rossa Primavera News Agency) were accepted by the West and began to prepare for a war against the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union having collapsed, these people, who had been trained under the wing of Western intelligence services, started to fill the ideological vacuum in the post-Soviet space and spearheaded the process of decommunization.
According to Sergey Kurginyan, if at the beginning nationalists were on standby under liberals in power, the nationalists eventually came to the forefront, and they will inexorably increase their influence.
What happened to Ukraine is a striking example of this process.
“If Ukraine had wanted to be ultimately anti-Russian and fight against Russia, but at the same to be acceptable to everyone, it would have never put Bandera as its cornerstone. On the contrary, it would have condemned him, while showing itself as a democratic and liberal country, a victim of Russia,” explained Kurginyan.
However, in defiance of such a rational policy, the Ukrainian identity was constructed on the basis of “Bandera’s raving madness”. But this madness has ambitious plans. The process in Ukraine is the early signs of an emerging trend.
“This process is strangely simple. Strengthening decommunization increases Hitler’s popularity as they all understand that Hitler is the main figure to fight against Russia, communism, everything they hate,” said the expert.
Kurginyan is convinced that sooner or later this process will be taken to its logical conclusion.
“Personally, I believe that in the next 10 years Hitler will be somehow rehabilitated and radicals will be able to seize power in Europe, and not only in Europe. In this case, a new geopolitical block may be created behind this idea,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed in his address to the Federal Assembly to create a grand archive center in order to counter the distortion of World War II history.
This proposal as well as a reminder about the anti-Semitic declarations of the Polish Ambassador to Germany in 1930s, Jozef Lipski, has severely aggravated Russian-Polish relations. For instance, the Polish Parliament adopted a resolution to equate Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union in responsibility for starting World War II.
