Opponents of cease-fire continue to resist in Idlib

Terrorist groups opposing to the ceasefire continue their resistance in the Syrian city of Idlib, a Rossa Primavera News Agency source in Syria reports on August 9.

Idlib

Tahrir Al-Sham (an organization banned in Russia) is capturing those who advocated national reconciliation in the city of Idlib and the area. The arrests are taking place in the villages of Barisa, Mardebseh, Canaiz, Tal Toqan, Ras El Ein, Samakah, Bursa, Farwan, Ma’saran and Huzzan in the south of Idlib province.

Militants from Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (an organization banned in Russia) have arrested several people in the village of Tarmala in southeastern Idlib and 7 people in northwestern Hama because they advocated for reconciliation with the Syrian army.

One of the officials responsible for security in ISIL (an organization banned in Russia) was killed by terrorists from Tahrir Al-Sham (an organization banned in Russia) in the village of Barisa to the southeast of Idlib.

Deir ez-Zor

ISIL (an organization banned in Russia) arrested three of its militants with Iraqi citizenship in the vicinity of the town of Al-Sha’afa in southeastern of Deir ez-Zor because of an attempt to flee with families the area under ISIL’s (an organization banned in Russia) control.

Syrian army advances

According to a Rossa Primavera News Agency source, units of the Syrian army are advancing in the directions of Ayn al-Sharqiyah and al-Rami towards Maharit Rashid and Tel Salim Al-Lahaf, as well as Tulul al-Safa. During its advance, the army destroyed terrorist warehouses, stockpiles and field hospitals.

Violations of the ceasefire were also reported on August 9 in provinces of Latakia, Hama and Aleppo.
