Israel shoots down Syrian plane on the Syrian border

A Syrian Air Force plane crossing the Israeli-Syrian border and flying 1.2 kilometers deep into Israeli airspace was reported shot down, RIA Novosti informed on July 24 citing the Israeli army.

“The fighter jet infiltrated about 1 mile into Israeli airspace and was intercepted,” press release of Israel Defence Forces reports.

Two Patriot missiles were launched to shoot down the Syrian fighter jet. According to media, residents if the border town of Tsfata published a video showing these missiles being launched.

 On July 22nd, Israel attacked the Syrian Government Army’s facilities as well as Iranian facilities on Syrian territory.
