Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire in LPR nine times in the last twenty-four hours

The Ukrainian military has violated the ceasefire nine times over the course of the past day by shelling the territory of self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), LPR People’s Militia press service informs on October 10, RIA Novosti reports.

“Over the course of the past day, the Ukrainian forces have violated the ceasefire nine times by 120mm and 82mm caliber mortars, grenade launchers, IFV’s, heavy machine guns, and small arms” – the press service reports.

The Defense Ministry of the republic also informed that district Krasny Liman, Kalinovo, Lozovoye, Pervomaysk, Almaznoye, and Loginovo areas came under fire.

A total of 150 shells were fired at the territory of the Republic, People’s Militia representative added.

At the same time, the press center of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation” of the Kiev’s military in Donbass has stated on Facebook that over the course of the past day the militia have “violated the ceasefire 12 times”, “two of our defenders have been wounded, with two more received combat injuries”.

According to Ukrainian military, they were fired at in the Lugansk direction by grenade launchers and machine guns near Luganskaya, Valujskoye, Novoaleksadrovka and Trehizbenka villages.

The Kiev’s military also claims its positions in the area of Gnutova in the southern direction were fired at by grenade launchers and machine guns, small arms fire was registered on the Donetsk section of the demarcation line.

The agreement on ceasefire and political reforms in Ukraine has been signed in Minsk on February 12, 2015. The Minsk Protocol provides for complete ceasefire and withdrawal of all heavy weapons from the line of contact with Donbass republics, carrying out of local elections in DPR and LPR, amnesty for participants of the civil war, conduct of constitutional reforms in Ukraine for the purpose of decentralization of power. Only after complying with the following measures the control over the national border can be returned to the Ukrainian government.
