Syrian army liberated Lebanese border region from terrorists

The Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters liberated the Lebanese border region from terrorists, RIA Novosti reported on August 20.

The attack was conducted from three directions with active artillery support from the Syrian army. As a result of the joint operation, the Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters managed to destroy several dozen terrorists and take weapons and military equipment as trophies. Border strongholds of Zamarany, Abu-Khdeij, and Zagkher Ali were liberated.

On August 19 Lebanese Army command announced the start of operation on liberation of the Syrian border area from militants, a total of about 120 square kilometers. During the last day, government forces managed to liberate border areas of about 30 square kilometers on the Syrian-Lebanese border.
