08.06.2017, Iran.

Javad Zarif, Iranian Foreign Minister, criticized the US on Twitter on June 8.

An ambivalent reaction of the US authorities to the June 7 terrorist attacks in Tehran caused the indignation of the Iranian diplomat.

“Repugnant WH statement & Senate sanctions as Iranians counter terror backed by US clients.Iranian people reject such US claims of friendship,” said Javad Zarif.

The US President expressed his condolences to the people of Iran earlier, after the terrorist attack on Tehran.  At the same time, Donald Trump noted that the countries that sponsor terrorism risk falling victims to the evil they promote.  Meanwhile, it was reported that the US Senate is considering to draft a law on additional sanctions against Iran.

Two groups of terrorists committed simultaneous attacks on the building of the Iranian parliament and the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in the morning on June 7.

The security services neutralized the third group of terrorists, who also planned to participate in the attack, said Iran’s Minister of Intelligence and Security.

12 people were killed and 42 wounded as a result of these terrorist attacks.  ISIL (an organization banned in the Russian Federation) took responsibility for the attacks.
