Donetsk People’s Republic prepares to counter the attack of Ukrainian army on three possible direction, DPR Head Aleksandr Zakharchenko stated today during his press-conference.
“We expect the attack of Ukrainian army, three direction of the attack are being examined, but there is no information where and when exactly they will strike. This is why we have to prepare on all directions,” the head of the state said.
DPR authorities already prepared for use approximately 70% of bomb shelters in case of the attack of Ukrainian military, Zakharchenko added.
He noted that by the end of this week approximately 150-170 basements of apartment buildings will be turned into bomb shelters.
The civilians of DPR are recommended to use facades of the buildings, pedestrian underpasses and car parkings in case of artillery strikes by Ukrainian army. Because the enemy doesn’t inform about its provocations and plans to attack, shelling of residential districts might occur when people will be on the streets. Emergency services advise not to panic and find a place of temporary refuge nearby. In April this year approximately 4000 bomb shelters were prepared by local authorities.
