Kurginyan: Without ascending, Man will sooner or later blow up the world

Unlike animals, humans do not kill living creatures for eating purposes, yet they constantly improve their instruments of killing. Therefore, if Man does not ascend, he will sooner or later blow up the world, philosopher, political scientist, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan stated on October 2 during the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio.

As the political scientist noted, “Man is the most cruel and dangerous creature living on planet Earth.” He explained that there are two reasons for this: first and foremost, humans do not kill for food, and secondly, they constantly improve their instruments of killing.

He cited the saber-toothed tiger as a counter-example; while this tiger possessed formidable fangs as killing tools, this creature did not refine them, evolution did so over a vast span of time. In contrast, humans today develop their killing tools every decade, every year, and every month.

“This means that if Man does not ascend, if humans do not move toward some kind of greater good, towards enlightenment, climbing up the ladder and constantly striving to reach the higher meanings, but just exist, then they accumulate something that will sooner or later blow up the world,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement emphasized.

Progress continues and weaponry becomes increasingly sophisticated, the expert added. Hypersonic missiles, nuclear-powered underwater drones, and space-based surveillance systems make it possible to strike submarines and other targets.

“All of them can be struck simultaneously. But if a strike can be launched against all of them at once, what then does a retaliatory strike mean? People are in a rush to deliver a retaliatory blow because, later on, it might be impossible,” the political analyst said.

At the same time, Sergey Kurginyan pointed out that the means for delivering a retaliatory strike are also being improved. He cited the F-35 fighter jet as an example, a sophisticated system that has not yet been fully perfected. Lockheed Martin, the company that developed it, constantly announces upgrades.

“But there are heaps of them! Now there is a bomb that can be mounted on these aircraft. And everyone is buying them feverishly: Finland is buying, Poland is buying… Just about everyone is buying it! One ‘small tactical nuclear bomb’ can be fitted on such planes, it is three times more powerful than a bomb dropped on Hiroshima,” the analyst emphasized.

However, that Russia’s Su-57s are technically just as capable, Kurginyan noted. According to him, Russia has a deployed fleet of these latest fighters and is working on the next generation. The problem, in his view, lies in the mindset that the ruling elite still partly clings to.

“It remains partly beholden to that utopia, discussed by many, including the Russian president, which could be described as: ‘Well, since we’re all capitalists now, why should we fight each other?'” he explained.

In contrast to this utopia, the analyst recalled that World War I was fought precisely between “capitalists”, “On the contrary, it is more likely that capitalists go to war with each other.”
