Kurginyan explains what Trump really wants

The key motivation of US President Donald Trump’s policy is his desire to always look “awesome,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on August 8 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.

According to the political scientist, the current US president did what was almost impossible: he won the elections, and he gave everything for that. Elections in the US mean huge pressure and a long-term self-mobilization.

“When he won, firstly, he was full of himself, and secondly, he did, with major reservations, what a hero of Vysotsky was talking about, ‘And then he signed off drinking because he got tired.’ He stopped fighting because he won,” Kurginyan explained.

Today, Trump really enjoys himself: everyone listens to him and does whatever he tells, they say that “he is a great emperor, the greatest in the world,” the political scientist stressed.

“Trump clearly knows what he needs to do. Whatever happens, he needs to say that he has reached an awesome victory. He needs to tell this to himself and to the people around him. The people around him, understanding they have to deal with this coo-coo, already know what they should do. They should either step aside as e.g. Musk did or they should say ‘Yes, great, awesome, perfect!’” Sergey Kurginyan noted.

Trump understands that in order to start doing something with Iran he needs a couple million people there and to stick there for 10-15 years, but he does not want to do that, the political scientist explained.

“The Israeli are putting pressure on him. The Israeli are this Likud conservative lobby, which is certainly not the primary Jewish lobby in the US. The primary one is definitely the democratic one. But still it is substantial. It used to be called Jews for Nixon. They are putting pressure on him. He has to give them something and perform something at the same time in order to avoid getting into trouble. He drops some bombs somewhere saying, ‘It is an awesome victory! Great!’” Kurginyan explained.

A similar situation took place around the reconciliation between India and Pakistan when Trump said that they came to an agreement because he reconciled them, the political scientist noted.

He reminded that in “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry the king tells the prince,

‑ I order you to stand!

He replies,

‑ But I do not want to stand!

‑ Then I order you to sit!

Trump orders, and everyone obeys. This is how Trump gets his “self-narcotization without which he cannot live, and he enjoys himself (and this in fact becomes the key motivation of his policy),” the political scientist explained.

He also noted that, being a rationalist, the US president avoids any serious steps by “idle talks” calling everything awesome and astonishing.
