Missiles and drones in the airspace of Ukraine will not be shot down by air defense units of the Polish Armed Forces, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces Wiesław Kukuła told reporters on November 12.
This is how the high-ranking military officer responded to a question from the Rzeczpospolita newspaper about the possibility of shooting down missiles and drones in Ukrainian airspace.
“No. Our and the allied position is clear. We will not do it,” Kukula replied.
According to him, Poland will focus on its airspace. “Today our responsibility for the defense of the allied skies is determined by our borders,” the chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces concluded.
