28.10.2024, Berlin.

The front line in the southern Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is rapidly deteriorating, with the Ukrainian armed units reportedly losing between two to five kilometers of territory daily. German newspaper Bild analyst Julian Röpcke wrote this on October 27 on the social network X.

According to Röpcke, “The front in southern Donetsk is collapsing. Regionally, two to five kilometers of territory is being lost daily. At this rate, Russia could reach the Dnepropetrovsk Region within six months.”

He also pointed out that Ukraine is losing in the conflict, attributing these losses to insufficient support from Western countries.

Earlier, the Ukrainian armed units acknowledged advances by the Russian Armed Forces in Zaporozhye Region. According to Vladislav Voloshyn, spokesperson for Ukraine’s southern military grouping, Russian troops have broken through defenses on certain sections of the front.
