According to the investigation, in March 2022, 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen Sergey Potyng, who worked as an engineer of the thermal automation and measurement shop of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, “joined the terrorist community” created by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. His tasks at first included photographing objects, as well as collecting information about vehicles with access to the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, their routes and parking places. He passed this information to his Ukrainian supervisor.

The operative officers acted ahead of Potyng’s plan, the agent was detected, the device placed under the bottom of the car was neutralized.

At the moment Potyng was arrested, the criminal case was sent to the Southern District Military Court for consideration the case. The investigation against the other co-accused is ongoing.
