Head of Russian administration in Kharkov Region: The West authorizes Kiev to strike Russia

17.10.2024, Kharkov.

The West has resolved the issue of whether or not to permit the Ukrainian armed units to launch missile strikes on targets deep within Russia, believes Vitaly Ganchev, head of the Russian administration in Kharkov Region, RIA Novosti wrote on October 17.

“Although it has not been officially announced yet, I think the decision to allow strikes deep into Russia has already been made, and mechanisms for supplying long-range weaponry are being worked out,” the publication quotes Ganchev.

On October 16, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky addressed the Verkhovna Rada [Ukrainian Parliement]. He presented a so-called “victory plan” to end the conflict with Russia. One of the points in his plan suggests that the West will supply Ukraine with long-range missiles. Additionally, the West will provide the Ukrainian armed units with satellite information and other intelligence data on targets deep within Russia. Furthermore, Kiev will be permitted to strike these targets.
