Russian army units took control of one of the key road junctions south of the town of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), TASS reported on October 15, citing sources in security forces.
“There are certain successes near Chasov Yar. We have taken control of a key junction south of the town,” the agency quoted the source.
The situation on the outskirts of the city is becoming increasingly unfavorable for the Ukrainian armed units, the source added.
It is noteworthy that Chasov Yar is located at a commanding height. The battles for the city began in April.
