The US and UK air forces conducted strikes on a naval base of the Yemeni Houthi movement Ansar Allah in the city of Hodeida in western Yemen, RIA Novosti wrote on October 5, citing a local government source.
“The US and UK aviation conducted four strikes on their naval base in the Ras-Kutaybi area of Hodeida,” the source said.
Another source indicated that the command of the Houthi Navy was located in the Ras-Kutaybi area.
On October 4, the US Central Command reported a strike on 15 Houthi targets in Yemen.
In early September, Andrzej Szczęśniak, a columnist for the Polish weekly Myśl Polska, wrote that the US had failed to restore the security of commercial shipping in the region more than eight months after the start of the special operation.
