Russian Defense Ministry: Russian army liberates village of Krutoy Yar in the DPR

Russian troops completed the liberation of the village of Krutoy Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry informed on October 1 in an update on the special military operation aimed at demilitarizing and denazifying Ukraine.

Soldiers of the Russian Group of Forces Tsentr operating in the Krasnoarmeysk direction forced Ukrainian armed units to withdraw from Krutoy Yar.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, over the past 24 hours, units of this Russian grouping repelled nine counterattacks from the 25th Airborne Brigade and the 28th, 47th, 150th, 151st, and 154th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian armed units.

Additionally, the Group of Forces Tsentr inflicted fire damage on units of the 47th and 151st Mechanized Brigades, the 95th Air Assault Brigade, the 68th Jaeger Brigade, the 109th, 116th, and 119th Territorial Defense Brigades of the Ukrainian armed units, as well as the 12th and 15th Brigades of the Ukrainian National Guard near tSelidovo, Dzerzhinsk, Nikolaevka, Lysovka, Sukhaya Balka, Druzhba, and Shevchenko.

On October 1, General Colonel Andrey Mordvichev, commander of the Group of Forces Tsentr, reported to Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov that the grouping had liberated about 130 square kilometers of territory in the Krasnoarmeysk direction in September, encompassing 12 towns and villages.
