General Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat special forces: Ukrainian units had to capture the Kursk nuclear power plant by August 11

14.08.2024, Kursk.

The Ukrainian armed units were supposed to take control of the Kursk nuclear power plant by August 11, but the plans failed. This was stated by Apty Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat special forces, in his Telegram channel on August 14.

By August 11, the Ukrainian armed units were supposed to seize the Kursk nuclear power plant and then give Russia an ultimatum. However, the Russian army was able to stop the enemy’s advance in the Kursk region, including to Kurchatov, a satellite city of the Kursk nuclear power plant.

Alaudinov also said that Russian Armed Forces units will soon launch a massive offensive to completely destroy the enemy forces.

On the morning of August 6, Ukrainian armed units crossed the Russian state border on the side of the Kursk region. Using the factor of surprise, they managed to capture several settlements and come close to the town of Suja.

Currently, the advance of the Ukrainian armed units is stopped by Russian units. A counter-terrorist operation regime has been declared in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. Residents of border settlements in the combat zone are being evacuated. The fate of about two thousand civilians in Kursk region who live in settlements controlled by the Ukrainian armed units remains unknown.
