The uncontrolled development of science releases a huge potential for the destruction of humanity, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on June 22 at the presentation of monograph Stalin’s Esoterics. The Analytics of the Conflict of Interpretations.
“This is really the key problem of humanity, if science begins to develop in an uncontrolled way. Only science. It will destroy everything itself. No nuclear bomb is needed,” the philosopher noted.
According to Sergey Kurginyan, in view of the lack of integral development of Man and development of interdisciplinary studies, the situation is exacerbated by the development of the so-called “artificial intelligence.”
“There is no artificial intelligence at the moment. All this is huge inflated idle talk. There is huge capacity of the machines and huge speed. On top of this, stupid primitive programs are installed. This is not an artificial intelligence. The Bayes rule or something like that. But it will appear. It will appear in 20-30 years,” Kurginyan believes.
He stressed that if an actual artificial intelligence is made humanity will have huge problems. This problem, in his opinion, will be escalated by dangerous discoveries in other fields of science.
“I have a close relative who has been studying the human genome all his life. He still studies it, he is doctor of sciences etc. He says, ‘What do they mean it is deciphered? It is only deciphered in some fragments. It will be deciphered in 20 years, and this is when serious trouble will come,’” Kurginyan indicated.
He stressed that only development of Man can resolve the problem of the uncontrolled development of science.
“Therefore, if nothing happens to Man, if we fail to raise the issue of Man’s reserved capabilities, what will happen next?” the philosopher asked.
He told that, according to the Russian security services, highly precise scanners of human brain activity already exist in the USA, and corresponding studies on the live brain are ongoing. “There was an institute, which was called Institute of Brain. Perhaps there are people here who knows how it was really called. It was called the Institute of Lenin’s Brain. So, all those studies were performed using histological and other techniques on dead brain [tissue]. And now they can to it on the live brain,” Kurginyan explained.
He noted that if Russia leaves out the development of Man, it will eventually lose control over oil and other resources.
“Thus, we need a way to create this Man with his reserved capabilities and his integral brain. And it is not only a matter of uniting sciences. It is a matter of uniting natural sciences and humanities and uniting it all with culture. Where is all this integral Man? In fact, after thirty years of devastation, which cannot be lifted in one year, and which still has some inertia today,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement explained.
