Globalization and scientific and technological progress led to the fact that semi-guerrilla groups, with a little effort, can turn the whole world upside down, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 573.
Foreign media outlets published articles pointing to a new danger in connection with the situation in the Red Sea. They note that the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea are important not only as logistical gateways for the transportation of goods from Asia to Europe. Powerful telecommunication cables run along the Red Sea bed, enabling business transactions worth many times the value of goods transported along this route.
Western media write that modern digital communication technologies are not about playing games and watching clips on your phone, but about billions of financial transactions worth trillions of dollars a year. The breakdown of information channels will lead not to the bankruptcy of individual companies, but to the collapse of entire state economies.
“Globalization and scientific and technological progress have made the existing infrastructure both very complex and at the same time very fragile. Therefore, semi-guerrilla groups that have found another vulnerability in this infrastructure are capable of putting the whole world upside down,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
