The “hybrid” reality of Russian soldiers in combat and members of the Russian elite enjoying parties and festivities cannot be changed in a second, but this kind of a reality must not be cultivated, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on December 29 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
“Why cannot we say, within this hybrid concept, that Russian guys in Ukraine are working to allow these scum to have their nude parties? Is this really what they are giving their lives for? If they give their lives for festivities, then they do so for this kind of events, too. As well as for the mummies walking with their baby carriages in Moscow with its paving tiles and other decorations,” the political scientist stressed.
The “nude party” caused a feeling of disgust and bewilderment in the Russian public, because it took place in the context of hostilities in Ukraine. The political scientist reminded that at the beginning of the Special Military Operation the Russian authorities believed that the Special Operation would be going separately from the life of the Russian public. However, those who are fighting and their families never accepted this kind of a position. Besides, this is not a position that can bring victory.
This reality, i.e. the division of the Russian society into those who fight and those who have nothing to do with the SMO, according to Sergey Kurginyan, cannot be changed in a second, but it must not be cultivated either.
According to the analyst, the Russian population will not give an immediate response to the inconsistency between certain sides of the current life and the SMO situation.
“This is Russia, not France, when trucks block a highway the next day after something happens. This is Russia: people listen gloomily, but then something happens. And it seems to me that someone has finally realized that it was too much, that a grassroots mass reaction of indignation at this scum is already on the rise, and besides it is so untimely, and that it cannot be completely ignored,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
He stressed that the current reality should be very cautiously put on a wartime footing, because if we do it without caution we will destroy it, and it all will be over.
“On the other hand, we must not follow this hybrid logic; we need to change the reality in an assertive, strategic, and still soft and patient manner,” the political scientist stressed.
