Representatives of the Western elite are betting on the build-up and strengthening of the Ukrainian army, and Russia should prepare its response, political scientist, philosopher, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel on September 12, 2023.
Kurginyan pointed out that analyst and American historian Edward Luttwak argues that the number of the Ukrainian army should be increased to 3 million.
“[Luttwak] is a very strong man, a brilliant specialist in military strategy. And when he says that Ukraine will have a three-million-strong armed army, we should not laugh about it and count how many tanks have been delivered and how many will be delivered. One word of Luttwak means more to me than a hundred words of Blinken,” Kurginyan says.
The political analyst emphasized that it is worth preparing for the level of threats voiced by Luttwak, as this analyst is closer to the core of the US political class.
Kurginyan explained that such statements force Russia to create training camps not just for a contract army, but with the possibility of accepting about three million people for training.
“Prepare the manpower training camps so that three million can be trained quickly. Create a brilliant training infrastructure, mobilize into that training infrastructure those who still have Soviet experience or who have proven they can do something.”
This infrastructure should not be of “barrack-type”. These should be military settlements.
The next step, according to Kurginyan, is to create stockpiles of weapons, re-create the machine building industry and be ready to use all this when the situation escalates.
When the West “will realize that this will be quickly put in action, then maybe they will pull back or put on the brakes, then humanity and Russia will be saved,” Kurginyan concluded.
