The Russian army has foiled an attempt by Kiev troops to break through the defense lines of the Russian armed forces on the southern flank of Artemovsk, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin told reporters on September 27.
Pushylin said that the Ukrainian armed units that attempted to attack the Russian army positions had been destroyed.
He said that the Ukrainian militants tried to squeeze the Russian units from the positions located along the border of Andreevka, Kurdyumovka and Kleshcheevka villages, trying to pass to the railroad, but their attempt was unsuccessful. The Kiev militants were partially eliminated and partially withdrew to their original positions. As a result of the clash, Russian armed forces units managed to significantly improve their positions on the northern flank of the city of Artemovsk near Orekhovo-Vasilevka.
Earlier, it was reported that Pushilin said that the situation in the Artemivsk direction remained “hot”.
