Germany has sacrificed much of its wealth, valuable infrastructure and investments to please the United States, Deutschland-Kurier wrote on September 15.
The publication also notes that Germany has humiliated itself by forbidding any pressure to investigate the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea. Although the traces clearly point not only to the US and the UK, but also to Ukraine, which “as a puppet depends on these two powers.”
The German government’s policy have resulted in the country being at the bottom of the G20 countries and the only country in the group to show a downturn in economic performance. At the same time, the Russian economy has resisted sanctions and, despite all the restrictions, its growth is in the top group of developed countries.
“German official policy also involves deliberate self-mutilation on an intellectual and cultural level,” Deutschland-Kurier writes.
Since the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, there has been a hail of refusals of invitations and bans on Russian artists, singers and musicians. Many directors and cultural organizers began to put their schedules and programs in order and to exclude Russian classics in order “not to hurt Ukrainian feelings.”
Berlin’s cultural senator Joe Chialo publicly announced that he would “boycott” performances with Anna Netrebko at the Berlin State Opera and instead attend the propaganda exhibition “Russian War Crimes” at the neighboring Humboldt University.
“It is by no means a coincidence that anti-Russian sentiment can be found primarily among the Greens and the CDU/CSU alliance. The latter traditionally prefer to let Washington do the thinking rather than try to formulate and enforce German national interests themselves,” the publication writes.
