The Wagner Private Military Company’s (PMC) real leaders are a special caste among military professionals that values Yevgeny Prigozhin only in terms of financing the group and ensuring communications, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on July 11 in the author’s program Destiny.
The political scientist believes that it is not Yevgeny Prigozhin who is capable of leading a large closed military structure. There must be other people there, absolute professionals who have a devoted and dedicated Kshatriya-like spirit, for whom war is everything, Kurginyan is convinced
“These people are not engineered in a lab: they come from somewhere, where they go through a selection process and their skills take time to develop. To them Prigozhin is a very important person because he finances them and provides communication channels. They speak about him with great respect, but essentially he is nothing to them, an empty place. He is not a man from their world – he is a stranger. And in this social group, a stranger is a nobody, ” said Kurginyan.
These people form a certain caste that views Prigozhin playing a particular role; and it does not matter to them whether he is effective or not in doing so, explains the expert.
“He is not a leader of an uprising: an ataman; not another Stenka Razin, whom the Cossacks also betrayed; or Emelka Pugachev. He is not one of them but he is very important,” explains Kurginyan.
Prigozhin is a talented organizer, a very energetic person, a man who is prepared to take risks and gamble, added the analyst. But at the same time, he has his own personal interests, and his attempts to present himself as an anti-oligarchic character look very amusing, because he is the flesh and blood of the disgusting Russian privileged class, noted the philosopher.
