Closed political systems seek to convince the society that they are non-existent, and this is the source of their allmightiness, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said as a hypothesis on July 11 in a new issue of this original broadcast Destiny.
As political scientist remembers, people that he “strongly dislikes” who were later called conspiracy theorists began to be often seen in late 1970s. These people absorbed certain knowledge about closed systems “in quite a pathological way,” which, Kurginyan believes, had a pathological effect on themselves and their mental health.
“I could not call them [the conspiracy theorists] just madmen, because I understood that along with some insane things they were saying something quite valuable,” the analyst noted.
It was exactly in that period, 1970s, when all the global politics, in Kurginyan’s opinion, including the Soviet one, was becoming increasingly closed.
“…more and more often certain closed systems were encountered, which could not really be detected in a usual way, because these systems have no intention to be detected,” Kurginyan explained. He added that methodologically, the study of closed political systems is similar to the investigation of a crime when criminals carefully cover up their traces.
Closed political systems, according to Kurginyan, increasingly displace public ones while avoiding scrutiny. He reminded that statement, “Devil’s main strength is that he convinces us he does not exist.”
“The main strength of the closed systems is that they seek to convince the society that they do not exist. This is what makes them almighty,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement concluded.
