A global conflict between the West and Russia is unfolding on the territory of Ukraine, but both sides have not yet become involved in it in full, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on June 23 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
“First of all I want to say that, of course, what is taking place now is a global conflict in which not only Russia and Ukraine are involved,” the political scientist said. According to Kurginyan, Ukraine is backed by forces that believe they are the global master of the world, the leading economies.
At Russia’s side, the expert noted, there are countries loyal to Russia, which are nonetheless not Russia’s military allies; there is no “army of Asia including Russia against the army of Europe.” These countries are sitting on the fence. Also, Russia itself calls the hostilities just a “special military operation,” Kurginyan indicated.
On the one hand, the analyst believes, it is a “global conflict, which is the largest one after World War Two, very momentous, fierce, and large-scale, in which new types of weapons are used, which are probably hundred times more powerful than the Katyusha multiple rocket launchers.”
On the other hand, in contrast to previous world wars, Russia still lacks a trained 10 million strong army, and the West is not involved in the conflict as much as it was during World War One, the leader of the Essence of Time movement concluded.
