Germany cannot replace every Leopard 2 tank damaged in Ukraine, but will continue to supply Kiev with weapons, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said, the news service of the German TV channel ARD Tagesschau informed on June 13.
Commenting on the destruction of German-made equipment in Ukraine, Pistorius explained, “We will not be able to replace every tank that is currently being damaged.”
Pistorius noted that the very nature of war is such that it involves killing people and destroying weapons. “That’s why our support for Ukraine is so important,” the minister concluded.
